Hello, my name is Rosaria Quartucci and I am a hotel entrepreneur who has had the fortune to be born in Taormina and to subsequently develop my businesses here. The privilege of living and working in a place known all over the world for its beauty has determined all the choices in my life.
It is for this reason that I wish to convey to the guests at my two hotels, Hotel Villa Ducale and Villa Carlotta and to all travellers my secret wish, which is to offer to guests that choose to visit my country a picture painting of Sicily where art, nature, traditions, history and culture combine together as one with true Sicilian spirit and welcome.
From this perspective Taormina itself offers a coming together of all these elements and even if only for a short holiday it is possible to experience both the harmony and the beauty of the town. The vast panoramic background sets the scene for the cultural story which has dominated Sicily and which visitors can now experience as a part of everyday life. Antiquity, historical buildings, art and natural beauty are found in abundance in Taormina and its surrounding area.
My presentation of the old routes that link and connect the town with the sea and the mountains aims to transmit the emotions, the aromas, the colours and the sensations which proposes an alternative view and way of travelling to that which is traditionally offered by the tourist market. Following the old routes I offer you a view of my country where we linger to enjoy the various shades of light and the aroma of natural herbs and the wonderful regional food with traditional dishes and aromatic wines transmitting the true essence of being Sicilian.
